For the WoW, I download from the internet, when i finish setup then i start to play. First of all, i log in my account name and password then it require to update.

Then i press restart. It comes out.

Then i finish download the update patch, i back to the game again.I have to choose my location, and my realm style. I choose the Oceanic location, and normal style.

Then i choose the server call Khaz’goroth is normal type server and is recomment for new players.

Then i have to create new character.

For the character i choose the warrior and the allance is human. Then i change the skin color and face, hair style, hair color and hair makes like a chinese. My character name is Seanyu.

Finish my character design then i can log in to the game, it calls enter world.

First into the game it will comes out a moive, its a introduction about the newbie area.

Finish the movie then comes out the help tips, and talk to the first NPC.

First monster i kill and gain the items.

First equiement i get from a wolf.

First boss i have found. But my level only 2. The boss is lv5. For the boss it set to a red name.

Soon i am dead ...........
First time need to resurrect.

Buy the better weapon to get more damage.

Try to get a party with another player but he reject me.>_<

Spend all my money to learn the skill. Now is more powerful.

LV 5 VS lv9 boss.... The result is dead....>_< too many quest.

LV6 come back to warrior Trainer. Learn more powerful skill.

Use the Aoe skill to kill a group of monster.
Need more exp ... then the lv will up fast than quest.

I do my maths, if i use aoe skill to kill monster every mins i can get more than 200 xp, but if i run for a quest like 10mins to finish it i only got 420-500 xp. So i choose to kill monster also can the money, equirement and matrial. Althrough is more tired, but is worth. At the end i leveling my character to lv7. In my mind the map for this game is too big. It need to spend lots of time to run the whole game story, but the graphic and control is the best game in the world. Easy and exciting.

Cheerio's WOW character--Cheerioly

ZZPosted by Anonymous on Saturday, August 21, 2010 , under | comments (6)

My character is a female Night Elf Hunter.

Reason for choosing "Female" is because I want to get into the game world so I can imagine the character that I am controlling is myself.

Reason for choosing "Night Elf" is because I love her sexy ears... and because this is the first time I play this kind of game, so I don't want to be "human".
Don't really play game because of assignments, but if play, just go crazy, being a human might not be that fun...

Reason for choosing hunter is because the role "hunter" sounds so cooooool! and I love the weapon that she carrys, the bow...

Her name is Cheerioly, because that's how my friend call me~

Guess this is how i will be look like for the next few days.....

My Character name is CharlesWilly, Charles from his English father and willy is from William his Scottish mums maiden name and he is a human rogue. I chose human because the orgs looked shit and I didn’t want to be an elf or dwarf, so just stuck with a human. I decided to make Charles a rogue human because he was able to hold weapons in both hands and relies on attacking with physical ability rather then magic. Rogue appeared tougher then all the other wimpy options like a priest, so I thought it was a good choice. I got put in the Khaz’s Goroth realm after I selected for the game to choose which realm would be best for me.

My favoraite game is Biohazard 2 (Resident Evil 2) !!

I looove the idea and the story. I started playing when I was young, I liked the graphic, the sound, the characters, and of course the most important -- I love zombies.

I love Call of duty 6~~~~~2305---Leo

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 video game consoles and the Microsoft Windows operating systems. Officially announced on February 11, 2009, the game was released worldwide on November 10, 2009. It is the sixth installment of the Call of Duty series and the direct sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, continuing along the same storyline. It was released in conjunction with two other Call of Duty games: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized for the Nintendo DS, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex, a port of Call of Duty 4 adapted by Treyarch for the Wii console. In addition, a comic book series based on one of the game's characters was also produced, entitled Modern Warfare 2: Ghost.

Modern Warfare 2 has received very positive reviews from various gaming websites, attaining a 94% aggregate score on Metacritic, with praise stemming primarily from its in-depth multiplayer component. Upon its release, the game sold approximately 4.7 million copies worldwide in 24 hours. On June 15, 2010, Activision confirmed that the game had sold over 20 million copies worldwide, making it the second best-selling game of all time in the UK, and the third best-selling game of all time in the US
Twelve thousand gamers were banned by accident from playing Modern Warfare 2 via the anti-cheat system. This was done by Valve through its online gaming platform. Steam determined that many gamers were cheating the company. However, after investigation there were no evidence found of such activities.

Now, the company has lifted the ban and has also apologized for the mix up.

Valve is an online gaming platform which has many other war games for gamers apart from Modern Warfare 2.

Valve head honcho, Gabe Newell, explained the issue in his apology. He said, “The problem was that Steam would fail a signature check between the disk version of a DLL and a latent memory version.

This was caused by a combination of conditions occurring while Steam was updating the disk image of a game. This wasn’t a game-specific mistake. Steam allows us to manage and reverse these erroneous bans (about 12,000 erroneous bans over two weeks.”

To make up the mistake, the company is handing out Left 4 Dead 2 for free to all those MW2 gamers whe were inadvertently banned.

Well, it is still bad for those gamers who own Modern Warfare 2 as well as Left 4 Dead 2.

Monkey Island Retrospective - Part 2: The Ultimate Sequel

ZZPosted by mylesblasonato on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 , under | comments (1)

MI2 Intro

Welcome back me 'hearties to the second part of my swashbuckling tale were we'll explore the magic of the second iteration of the popular adventure game series.

Another famous cover art by Steve Purcell
After the enormous success of The Secret of Monkey Island it was only natural to create a sequel. Monkey Island 2: Le Chuck's Revenge was voted the most anticipated game of 1991 on numerous websites. To most people it was hard to believe that something better than The Secret of Monkey Island could be created. Gilbert, on the other hand, did not. Monkey Island 2 has come to be known as the definitive MI (Monkey Island ) experience. The puzzles were better, the gameplay was smoother and less clunky, the script was funnier, the graphics were even more breathtaking than the first and the music has only ever been matched by Monkey Island 3. MI2: LeChuck's Revenge was better in all aspects than the first. It wasn't an easy task.

Again Dave Grossman and Tim Schafer helped co-create Monkey Island 2 keeping their signature humor style intact and building on it to make it even more hilarious. Meanwhile due to the lack of flexibility in the music department for Monkey Island 1, Michael Land decided to create a system that allowed him to re-compose music in real time from within the game, allowing for seamless transition between musical scores. The system was called iMUSE. The team for MI2 retained most of the guys that worked on TSoMI.

The ideas for Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge were conceived in mostly the same way as TSoMI. More references from the Disneyland ride were also present in this iteration.

Monkey Island 2 also had versions for the PC, Amiga and most recently the PS3, XBOX 360, iPhone and iPad via the Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge Special Edition remake. The remake includes full HD graphics, full voice, updated UI and developer commentary with the 3 creators themselves.

The story in MI2 again is very funny with some of the funniest lines in gaming. The "How much wood, would a woodchuck chuck" conversation between Guybrush and the Wood-smith is highly entertaining.
Guybrush Threepwood, after defeating LeChuck, decides to embark on a new adventure in search of the legendary treasure, Big Woop. The myth behind Big Woop involves 4 pirates who find Big Woop and decide that it's too great for anyone to have so they bury the treasure and split the map into 4 pieces with each pirate taking 1 of them. When Guybrush enters the pirate town of Woodtick he is immediately held up by a short ruffian, Largo LaGrande. Largo steals all of Guybrush's money which pushes him to put a stop to Largo's mean streak. To do this a voodoo doll is assembled and used against Largo. At this time Guybrush shows Largo the animated beard of LeChuck. Largo then snatches the beard and runs from Woodtick. From here, the plan to revive LeChuck goes underway.

Guybrush must now locate the treasure of Big Woop before, the now Zombie pirate, LeChuck does. In Guybrush's quest he'll run into characters that we know and love like Stan, the salesman and meet new characters like Wally, the cartographer.

The story is more complex this time around with numerous conversations surfacing about the ending of the game as well as what the so called "Secret" of Monkey Island actually is. However the secret still hasn't been revealed even to this day and Ron Gilbert, the creator, is the only person that can rectify that.

The gameplay in MI2 is the same the first. Additions include less verb options and a Lite Mode for the new players while the hardcore guy's got to enjoy the iMUSE system which heightened the gameplay experience.

The primary objective is to use these commands to solve logical puzzles which on completion will progress the story of the game.

The inventory and dialogue are still heavily present in this iteration. Even more so than the first game due to the larger amount of content in this game. It's almost 3 times longer than the first.

The puzzles in MI2 are fantastic. Using foreshadowing to give clues on how to solve puzzles that are still hours away. The flow of puzzles is also great. The game is broken up into 4 parts and each part has a big puzzle that needs to be solved and to solve it you need to solve the smaller puzzles. For instance in the first chapter you need to get Largo off the island because he is mean. In order to solve that puzzle you need to create a voodoo doll of Largo. To create the doll you need 4 ingredients. Each ingredient has a puzzle associated with obtaining it. This pattern is apparent in 3 of the 4 chapters.

Again the graphics are fantastic and have taken an upgrade since the first game to feature more colours and more detail. The game still has it's realistic style graphics which WILL change in the next installment in the series.

The audio in MI2 is arguable the best in any adventure game. It also features iMUSE which is actually not technically possible to do today. iMUSE allows composers to blend their music/re-compose their music on the fly which means there is no cut when 1 score switches to another. It's only possible because the music is MIDI which means created electronically. That means being able to change the music with programming is possible. In todays games all the music is created via real instruments that need to be recorded into the computer making it hard to edit in great detail afterward. For this reason MI2 has some of the best music/sound design ever to grace the game industry.

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge is regarded as the best adventure game ever created.
Due to the game building on everything that was present in the first, as well as introducing iMUSE to the industry, it's not hard to see why.

It would be 5 long years before Guybrush would go on another crazy adventure. However when he finally re-surfaced the splash he made was the biggest yet. With a whole new team and upgrades to SCRUMM and iMUSE the next Monkey Island is seen by some as the best of the series before it's downturn. Stay tuned to find out why.

Tomb Raider 2

ZZPosted by crowy on Monday, August 9, 2010 , under | comments (2)

Some brief history of Tomb Raider 1.

I was only 8 years old when Tomb raider was released and it was one of the franchise games of the playstation 1 , and it was the beginning of the 3rd person action adventure genre, it set the standard for all games that were to follow it including games like Drakes Fortune today. The game introduced us to the main character Lara Croft a sexy, brunette, archaeologist packing side arms, conveniently placed on her outer thighs. Being able control a beautiful intelligent athletic babe for the entire game was just one of the reasons it got an instant following in the gaming world and is why Lara Croft is often regarded as the beginning of female protagonist in games. The game required the player to solve puzzles and work there way through the maze like maps while also encountering numerous creatures and humans that needed to be gunned down. It gave the player the perfect mix of action and problem solving.

When tomb raider 2 was released it was a an instant success the game was in production before tomb raider 1 was released so the wait between games wasn’t to long, I was only 9yrs old when it came out and didn’t have a ps1 at the time but luckily enough my older brother did and was kind enough to share it with me( although it wasn’t always that easy, we had many fights over whos turn it was to play). But I could see the instant improvements in the game better graphics, some new animations for Lara and better shooting. I knew this was going to be a fun game from just the first level when I was in a cave just having a muck around with controls seeing what was new, when suddenly I was being attacked by tigers, without warning I had hardly moved anywhere but was already being attacked. So stunned and taken by surprise I was not able to keep Lara alive and I had lost my first life only minutes into the game ( but it wasn’t going to be my last), it was okay because like all good mistakes you learn from them the second time. So on my next go I was ready for the tigers, I quickly found some high ground and picked off the tigers with out any problems, the adventure of Tomb raider 2 was just beginning.

The first level and just shows a sample of Lara Croft in Action

Each level required puzzles to be solved in order to move forward in the game, you needed to collect key items and perform many difficult jumps, to me this was so fun and hard at the same time. I cant remember how many times I would have died just falling short of a ledge and plummeting to my death or becoming so dam angry that I couldn’t figure out where to go or what to do next and just chuck my control on the ground and storm off, often the only time I would have had a break from the game was after one of these hissy fits. But nothing can compare to when id finally complete the level it would be the best feeling, I would be so happy for solving the puzzle and as soon as I did I would be hooked back into the game not moving until the next time I couldn’t figure out what to do and repeat my hissy fit. It was this love hate relationship with the game and why I liked it so much.

Here are just some of the ways you would find yourself dieing in TR2

The game play was another one of the main reasons TR2 was so much fun. Lara can do so many different things in the game from run, swim, jump, flip, dive, side flip, roll, dive, hang, climb ladders and can do most of these while shooting her guns or putting them back into the holster, not to mention when she does it all she is looking super graceful, the fact that she is such a good looking character. I find it hard to imagine any other character doing the things she did, to me it just wouldn’t have worked. Lara was hot and for a video game character to have that affect on the gaming world (mainly the guys) was something very new and crazy. In TR2 Lara also had the ability to drive vehicles like snow mobiles and boats, this helped to change up the game play and give it an extra dimension.

Tomb raider 2 is one of my favourite games I have ever played and got me hooked on games ever since, unfortunately the tomb raider games that have followed to me have not lived up to the expectation that 1 and 2 set. Both we so unique and there map layout was perfect, it had the right mixture of puzzling solving and action scenes which kept you thinking and excited and I think that is where the latter games have failed to find that perfect concoction of gaming. It is why Tomb Raider 2 will always be on my recommended games to play list

My Favorite Game- Little Big Planet

ZZPosted by Magic on , under | comments (1)

Little Big Planet is a puzzle/platformer game developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was released in October 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and has continued to receive post-launch in the support of downloadable content. In this creative title, there is a lot you can do; So much that you can almost get lost, and that's something I'd regret to see happen. I hereby present you my newest project on Little Big Planet, in which I will guide you through the story mode, help you build your own worlds, and even help you finish worlds that were created by others.

I’m very like this game. In 2009, this game tanked TOP 4 in the games’ world.

Its graphics is really nature. The materials have some different kinds. And its character is very lovely that attracted more teenagers to play it. The background make so true. And each part has different graphics to design. This game is appropriate for many people to play it.

My Favorite Game — Plants vs Zombies(Cheerio)

ZZPosted by Anonymous on Sunday, August 8, 2010 , under , | comments (2)

Being living in the planet for around 21 years, I played less than 10 games in my life. The reason why I don’t play game is because I saw how people around me get into the game world and even not able to see the real life, another reason is because I will get into the game very quickly, and once I start it, I couldn’t leave my eye from it. For example, the game that I have played, Battle City, Ninja Turtles, MapleStory… From when I was kid, don’t have too much study. After year 4, I stopped all the game, I played some other casual game when I have my own computer, which are puzzle bubbles – I played crazily without sleeping, and happy farm in Chinese website, which I still go and water my plants everyday. Another game, which might be smarter, compared to all these games is Plants vs Zombies

My first time played Plants vs Zombies was on iphone, I was totally attracted by the game. It is simple and straightforward, the zombies will come closer and closer and invade your house, and you need to kill them in order to protect yourself from eating by them, I have strong emotion while playing this game, because once I lose, the screen will show a letter written by zombies in blood, like the following:

I felt so scared from it, even restart or close the game can’t help. When the zombies come closer I will stamp my feet nervously. I think interact with the audience is a very important point for a successful game.

The music selection is also smart in the game; they have different music when fighting with zombies and different music when there is no zombie, which sounds peaceful. Also the sound effect is really cool, I love the sound that when the bullet hit on the zombies, it sounds like throwing the tomato to the wall. Especially the sound of  zombies eatting plants, always make me feel sad and pittyful. Because I spent money on growing them! And it takes times! When I feel stressful, I would like to smash on something, I will play this game. The zombies always come one by one, but there are three chances in one level that they will have a lot of zombies come together, the music will be the scariest one, when I play on iphone, once I heard of that sound, I will just touch the screen quickly without actually knowing what I am doing. I always feel like wanna dancing when I am playing this game, because the music is actually relexed most of the time, and the plants on the ground are waving their head following the music.

Also, something make Plants vs Zombies stands out is “creative”, the choosing of the characters which is so different, can you imagine how the little sunflowers or mushroom fight with super scary zombie?

When I asked my friend to play the game, they always laugh out and say, how could the plants fight with zombies? Well, that should be another characteristic which made the game successful—the weird name, weird characters, and, weird combination.

Different plants own different functions, some plants are there to kill the zombies and some plants are there to slower the zombie down. So for some stronger zombie, the plants can work together to make the zombies slow down at the same time kill him, which seems smart, isn’t it?

This game requires using of "brain" when fighting with zombies, the plants are not really fighting with the zombie, however, the players do, and the plants are actually just the intermediates. When you level up, you have more choice between different plants, but within so many plants, you can choose only seven or eight of them to fight with u against zombies, so I always spend so much time on choosing my partners. The speed of either clicking (pc) or touching the screen (iphone) is also required, because the sun that falling down which we need to select will disappear after certain time period, and we need to grow as much stuff as we can.

Overall, this is quite an interesting game, with the cute characters and even cute zombies; we fight because we don’t want to see the cute plants eaten by zombies, or don’t want to see the letter which tells you that you have been eaten by zombies, or just fight for fight.

haha~ finally~check this out! for fun~
