**Posted by jackson at 5:04 PM

On July 27, 2010, Starcraft 2 was released on worldwide. Starcraft fans waited it for 12 years. The last version is Starcraft: brood war. Starcraft 2 is popular among the worldwide, this cause is StarCraft 1‘s successful. The first game of the StarCraft series was released for Microsoft Windows on 31 March 1998. With more than 11 million copies sold worldwide as of February 2009, it is one of the best-selling games for the personal computer. A Mac OS version was released in March 1999, and a Nintendo 64 adaptation co-developed with Mass Media Interactive Entertainment was released on 13 June 2000. Compare with other RTS cannon game. Red Alert series, Age of Empires series, Warcraft series, Starcraft is lord of RTS games. Now we must explain the problem is: StarCraft is culture. Starcraft although is ordinary computer game, it developed a kind of athletic sports and it unique a culture. It seems games are seeping even further into our education system. News reported the inclusion of Portal in the coursework at Wabash College, and now we learn that the University of Florida is offering a class in StarCraft -- 21st Century Skills in Starcraft (EME2040). The course, taught by doctoral student Nathaniel Poling, uses Blizzard's classic RTS to impart students with skills in the areas of "critical thinking, problem solving, resource management, and adaptive decision making."

Game Review

The game's storyline was established from a series of story. "StarCraft: Brood War" is starcraft’s expansion and the new expansion is "StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty". The game happened in the 26th century and The game centers are "Milky Way" galaxy. The three races are the Terrans, Zerg and Protoss. Human race are from Great Earth, the Zerg, a hexapod type race, and the Protoss, a humanoid race. The Terrans, are skilled at adapting to any situation and they live in any stars. The Zerg, are an hexapod-race that is searching for genetic perfection by mixed other races. The Protoss have developed technologies. The Protoss objective is to protect their traditional culture and keep their way of live and civilization far away from the evil Zerg.
The game is RTS game and its great story line has continued StarCraft. The game is focus on a multiplayer game mode. Commenters have praised StarCraft for being one of the best all RTS games. In South Korea and China, the game is very population that it has been considered a professional sport. The game will beyond starcraft1. The game has televised events and top players are treated as professional sportsman such as Korean Starcraft player Boxer. Players join together for teams and compete in national competitions. Players even earn very high sponsorships. ESWC, ESL, WCG is big game and holiday for player.

Game Play

The game play also owns their features. Three races have their own race-specific units. StarCraft 2 even has different and very special technology trees. For the game players must use the strengths and weaknesses carefully. Player also need unique micro and macro to analysis all the game.  The time and cost to create new units can be quite costly. This forces the gamer to use the units efficiently. Player needs focus on the quality of the units and placements, not the amounts of units. The Zerg and Protoss are at opposing ends of each other, serving the terrans as a middle ground between the two races. The most feature in Starcraft is balance, no race has a regnant others. The AI modes in the game play all start out easy and naturally progress to the hardest as the game continues on.
Minerals and Gas are only resources, three races need them in order to maintain their forces and manage in the economy. Minerals are used for build units and structures. Minerals are collected by worker units to harvest these resources from mineral deposits. They can be seen dotted throughout the fields. Gas is used for advanced units and buildings. Player will also need gas to build refineries above gas deposits. Player will control worker units to abstract the gas from the deposits. Also, player will need to monitor their supplies for their forces how many they need in the game.

Starcraft 2 Vs Starcraft 1
Let’s have a look at StarCraft 2 Changes, in comparison to the first StarCraft:

Changes:
Terran:
Units Removed
1. Removed Vulture
2. Removed Firebat
3. Removed Goliath
4. Removed Wraith
5. Removed Valkyrie
6. Removed Medic
7. Removed Science Vessel

Units Added
1. Added Banshee
The Banshee is a Terran aerial unit with a heavy ground attack, but little or no defense against air attackers.
2. Added Hellion
The Hellion is a mechanical unit that is similar in appearance to Vultures.
3. Added Marauder
The Marauder is a new Terran infantry unit that bears a lot of resemblance to the old Firebat.
4. Added Reaper
The Reaper is the new Terran infantry unit that is equipped with a jetpack. 5. Added Medivac
6. Added Raven
The Raven is the spiritual successor to StarCraft's Science Vessel, the new Terran air support unit with several useful abilities.
7. Added Thor
The mighty Thor is a powerful Terran mechanical unit that has more similarities with the fabled Battlecruiser than the old Goliath.
8. Added Viking
The Viking is the ultimate achievement in versatility.
Units Kept
1. Kept SCV
2. Kept Marine
3. Kept Siege Tank
4. Kept Ghost
5. Kept Battlecruiser
That means that 62% of the Terran units are brand new.

Terran Macro Mechanics
Command Center must upgrade to an Orbital Command center. This is starcraft2 new change.  Although it is collect thirty minerals every load, it is better than SCV, takes about three times longer than an SCV per load. Ultimately that would mean it independently collects about twice as fast as an SCV does.
The Mule’s disadvantage is a player must waste the times of a scanner sweep and your Orbital Command's Energy will be decreased in order that player will lost games. Terran players must be careful waste too much energy on MULE.
Now Protoss will bring us a big shock.
Changes:
Protoss:
Units Removed
1. Removed Dragoon
2. Removed Arbiter
3. Removed Corsair
4. Removed Dark Archon
5. Removed Reaver
6. Removed Shuttle
Blizzard removed many Protoss units, let’s look at some new units.
Units Added
1. Added Colossus
The Colossus is like an alien machine that walked out of the War of the Worlds movie. This massive unit that can walk over terrain like it wasn't even there. Add to it their powerful beam weapon, and it makes for one heck of a base assault unit.
2. Added Immortal
The Immortal is a new Protoss unit in StarCraft 2, essentially replacing the Dragoon but with an added advantage of Hardened Shields against the feared Siege Tank.
3. Added Mothership
The Mothership is the ultimate and legendary capital ship in Protoss' fleet. It is the ultimate weapon, which is sure to cause a lot of devastation, and also sure to draw a lot of fire.
4. Added Phoenix
The Phoenix is a Protoss air unit, primarly intended for anti-air defense and attack. The Phoenix is deadly enough to replace both the Scout and the Corsair.
5. Added Void Ray
The Void Ray is a Protoss air unit, suited to take out the most resilient enemies and structures. The longer its fire remains on a target, the more damage it does.
6. Added Warp Prism
The Warp Prism is the new transportation unit for the Protoss, with the added ability to providing Psi energy to nearby structures.
7. Added Sentry
The Sentry is a Protoss caster unit, capable of attacking both ground and air enemies, and which can use an array of abilities.
Only one less unit than the Terran side.
Units Kept
1. Kept Probe
2. Kept Zealot
3. Kept Dark Templar
4. Kept High Templar
5. Kept Carrier
6. Kept Observer
7. Kept Archon
54% of the Protoss units are brand new. The Mothership is almost exactly like the Arbiter however so there is room for debate there.

Protoss Macro Mechanics
The Protoss big change is “Chronos” .Player will spent 25 energy on it, and decrease 30% for a period of time on any building structure and produce units. In the beginning time it could be used to build fast Protoss workers probes, so this is a very powerful macro mechanic, it can be used for Zealot rush strategic, or it can be used to get some very fast upgrades.
The Protoss macro mechanic disadvantage is what you don't use it on. If player decide to produce a heavy amount of units, player’s economy will most likely fall behind your enemy's economy. Player will use this strategic to rush other player, if rush is fail, the game could be lost or be in trouble.
Now the difficult and uncomfortable race: the Zerg.
Changes:
Zerg:
Units Removed
1. Removed Guardian
2. Removed Lurker
3. Removed Scourge
4. Removed Defiler
5. Removed Queen
6. Removed Devourer
Units Added
1. Added Roach
The roach is a particularly tough, armored breed which possesses high-speed regeneration ability when burrowed
2. Added Queen
Queens are the gene-strand that has seen the biggest change throughout starcraft history. In Starcraft 2 they have reached a new level of potential and power.
3. Added Baneling
Banelings evolve from Zerglings after the right genetic upgrades has been done in a Baneling Nest.
4. Added Changeling
Changelings are a non-descript Zerg unit that will assume the exact physical appearance of a unit of another player, to infiltrate their base. Primarily made as a scouting unit.
5. Added Infestor
The infestor is the new offensive caster of the swarm. It shares many characteristics with the Defiler and is likely a genetic offshoot of its predecessor.
6. Added Corrupter
The Corruptor is the primary air-to-air assault unit of the Zerg, especially strong against massive targets. It can evolve into the Brood Lord.
7. Added Overseer
The Zerg incorporated Overlords into the Swarm by assimilating the giant space-faring and semi-intelligent Gargantis proximae and used them to help Cerebrates control and coordinate their Broods, as well as taking the role of scouts, using their enhanced senses.
8. Added Brood Lord
The Brood Lord is the heavy, long-range artillery of the Zerg. Its shots are actually Broodlings, who after their initial impact also deals damage on its own until they expire.
9. Added Infested Terran
Infested Terran are former human beings who have been infected with viral genes of the Zerg, having lost their will, serving the Swarm.
Blizzard add Zerg may new units. The “Infestor” is similar to the “Defiler”, so it is mean “Infestor” replace the “defiler” . Now let’s look at some one kept.
Units Kept
1. Kept Drone
2. Kept Zergling
3. Kept Hydralisk
4. Kept Overlord* - No longer has detection capabilities. This was replaced
5. Kept by the Overseer.
6. Kept Ultralisk
7. Kept Broodling
56% of the Zerg units are brand new.

Zerg Macro Mechanics
The new Zerg macro mechanic compare with the other Macro mechanics, The Zerg new change is “Queen”. Spawn Creep Tumor, which extends creep radius in a spiral outward from the tumor. This is used for scouting. One of the most important upsides to this is creep allows vision, player’s units will move fast.
The “Queen” can be restoring a units health or a building's health. Defensive structures can be used. The “Queen”disadvantage is she die quickly, she is enemy attack first target, but Queen is good defensive unit in the early game. The final ability is that  the Queen also has spawn larvae. For 25 energy (like her other abilities), the Queen injects larva into your hatcheries and after a period of time, the hatchery will spit out 4 extra larva. This can be quite devastating early game, and the only reason I can see players using the other options is if the game gets past early game. This is by far the most effective option for your war camp. More units = more power, more economy, or whatever you want.

RACE Comparison
Terran

Terran is a great race which deals damage through brute force. It's a very classic and first choice for first touch Starcraft player, because it is easier to learn it which have a lots of reasons, the name of units and structure is very clearly in order that player compare with other races. They own theirself expository. One advantage of Terrans is that while in the beginning they are the most basic race at first with Marines and Marauders but they arguably develop into the most diverse race at mid and later levels of a game in terms of combinations and what they can do than the other two.
Terran has a lots of strengths.
1. Terran can repair anything such as buildings and vehicles
2. Terran can build structures anywhere
3. good attack and defense
4. Cloaking and invisibility detection
5. Sensor towers see enemies through fog of war
6. Terran have destructive Nuclear warheads
7. Terran buildings lift off ground
8. Medivacs can heal both while airborne and as well in transport
9. Terran units has heavily armored and strong siege capabilities
10. Terran reapers can go up and down terrain
11. Terran supply depots can submerge themselves underground

Terran also has some weaknesses
1.Terran buildings at low health will burn
2.Terran has more micromanaging of units required
3.Bunkers need a number of resources
4.Man power though they are effective for defense

Protoss

Protoss is next race compare with other races in the game and it is an another good choice for first time players, a race specializing in great Psy energy and advanced technology. A great thing about the Protoss is that one probe is able to build multiple buildings at once, saving you from having to construct multiple units to build a base. Protoss have Zealots and Stalkers are early game units which are likely the strongest of any race early on. The zealots can upgrade the Chrono Boost which can made zealots have charge skill and player can upgrade Gateways to Warpgates is extremely helpful for moving units fast.
Protoss has lots of strengths.
1.Player can control units build multiple structures at once
2.Protoss buildings warp themselves into play
3.Protoss defensive units is very powerful
4.The Protoss plasma shields will renew
5.Player can use a warm prisms as a substitute pylon matrix
6.Protoss colossi can go up and down terrain
7.Player can use mothership abilities for powerful defense
8.Protoss photon cannons can attack land and air and detect invisible units
9.Protoss can warp units using warpgate for quick deployment

Protoss also have lots of weakness.

1.Protoss build times is too long
2.Protoss buildings must be placed within the Psionic matrix thus limiting where you can build
3.Protoss buildings go offline out of the matrix
4.Protoss colossi are susceptible to anti air attacks
5.Protoss heavy Vespene consumption

Zerg

Zerg is the final race to compare other races, basically Zerg is difficult for the StarCraft new player. This is a swarm race in which your strength lies in numbers rather than individual powerful units. The major upside is that the units are cheap and are able to be built quickly and with a good grasp of the ability to macro you can expand and grow your economy quickly to support the continual high production of units with which to overwhelm your opponent in numbers.

Zerg has lots of strengths.

1.Zerg units are quickly built and cheaply
2.All land Zerg units are able to burrow underground
3.Zerg can create creep and fly.
4.The Infestor and Roach can both burrow and move underground
5.Zerg gain 30% speed both while on creep
6.It isability to instantly transport all units anywhere using Nydus worm
7.Hatchery builds 3 units at a time rather than 1
8.The Overseer can detect and transport when mutated, Zerg defensive structures are able to uproot and move
9. Zerg units heal automatically when on the creep
10.Overlords provide supply

Zerg also have lots of weakness.

1.Drones are lost when creating new buildings
2.Zerg units are weak
3.Zerg buildings must be built on creep
